Allahabad Became Prayagraj Name Change By Yogi Adityanath Government in UP:

Allahabad has now officially become Prayagraj after the announcement by Uttar Pradesh Minister Siddharth Nath Singh On 16th October 2018, Tuesday.

At the same time, another new chapter has been added in the name change politics in the state. A few days back, it was proposed by the saints to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After which UP CM himself announced it in the press conference.

Along with the change of name of the city, the name of Allahabad High Court, Allahabad University will also be changed. It is worth mentioning that Allahabad remained the center of discussion before the Kumbh that will be held next year. The Yogi government is preparing on a large scale to collect Aquarius, the work of restoration in the city continues at war level.

Let’s say that politics of names in the province has been running for a long time. Just recently, the Yogi Government changed the name of the historic Mughalsarai station to Deendayal Upadhyay’s name. And now the name of the city has been changed. Apart from these, the names of many schemes and places have been changed.

Opposition parties were trying to surround the BJP government on this issue, but the opposition government has kept the opposition firm on its decision. Former CM Akhilesh Yadav also targeted Yogi Sarkar and described it as mess with faith.

In fact, Allahabad was named Prayagraj in the Puranas. But during Akbar’s reign it was changed to Allahabad. Historians say that Akbarnama and Miri Akbaris and other Mughal historical books are known that Akbar had laid the foundation of the fort in Prayagraj around 1574.
