The Joint Entrance Main Exam 2018 application process was scheduled between December 1st 2017 and January 1st, 2018. Compared to last year, the current year had higher number applicants choosing computer-based exam rising to 2.25 inlieu of 1.8 lakh in 2017.
JEE Main 2018 Exam had fixed both online & offline mode time table. The 1st paper applicants of bachelor of engineering / technology opting any modes while the second paper of bachelor of architecture / planning can take only offline Pen & Paper based examination. The offline exam will be held on 8.4.2018 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm for paper 1 and 2 respectively. Similarly, the online exam 1st paper will be managed on April 15 & 16, 2018 in 2 shifts. The applicants can download JEE Main admit card 2018 indicatively from the 2nd week of March with its results on April 30, 2018.
In India alone, JEE Main 2018 exam will be held in 248 cities and about ten countries are selected to be held outside India. The provision to write the offline examination will be made available in only seven abroad cities.
JEE Main Eligibility
Candidates wishing to give JEE Main 2018 should comply to the eligibility fixed by CBSE. JEE Main 2018 eligibility criteria comprise age, qualifying exam, marks, number of papers in the qualifying exam and number of tryouts and more.
The candidates should be born on or after 1.10.1993 or 25 years old. The age relaxation of 5 years is applicable to SC/ST/PwD candidates i.e., born on or after 1.10.1998 or be 30 years of age. The students should have possess class xii or equivalent exam in 2016 / 2017 with writing atleast five papers.
