New Farakka Express Train Accident in Rae Bareli Latest Updates, Helpline numbers:

The New Farakka Express  with train number 14003 derailed on 10th October 2018, Wednesday around 6 AM near Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh state of India. The Northern Railway Divisional Railway Manager Satish Kumar had reported that the accident took place near Harchandpur in Rae Bareli district.

New Farakka Express derailed in Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. Nine coaches, including the engine of this train , derailed. It is reported to have killed seven people so far. Many passengers have also been injured in the accident. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced compensation for the families of the dead and the injured.

Rae Bareli UPA chairperson is Sonia Gandhi’s parliamentary constituency. On receiving the information about the accident, the railway administration, local administrative officer, reached the spot. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Train incidents in UP are not new. Several train incidents have been witnessed here in the last few days.

New Farakka Express derailed. This incident happened in Harchandpur near Rae Bareli. In this case seven people have been killed so far. 2 people are still stuck in the coaches. About 20 people are injured.

The UP government has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of the dead and Rs 50,000 to the injured. At the same time, the central government announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the relatives of the dead, Rs 1-1 lakh to the seriously injured and Rs 50-50 thousand to the injured.

It is an incident of six and five minutes in the morning at 50 meters from Harchandpur railway station. The train was going from Malda towards New Delhi. In it, nine coaches along with the engine were reversed. Due to the accident, rail traffic on all up and down lines of this route is interrupted.
