Congress president Rahul Gandhi will face a defamation suit in the case of defamation of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS). The Bhiwandi court has framed charges for blaming him. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi said that I am not guilty. The charges against me are wrong. Now the next hearing of this case will be on August 10.
Rahul Gandhi arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday morning and was present in Bhiwandi’s local court. During this time, several Congress leaders including the state Congress chief Ashok Chavan and Ashok Gehlot were also present. During the hearing at the court, the judge told Rahul that your statement damaged the credibility of the RSS. At the same time, Rahul told himself innocent. After this, allegations were made against them under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code.
Rahul went out of court and hit the BJP. He said that he will fight and win. Not only this, he attacked the BJP and said that the Modi government does not speak anything on the unemployed and the farmers. Their condition is very serious. He said that cases are being filed against me but PM Modi does not speak anything on inflation-petrol prices. The country’s farmer is troubled by the BJP’s policies. Keep doing the case on me I do not care. This is my fight of ideology. I will fight and will live.
Special arrangements of security were made for Rahul Gandhi during the court. At the same time, complainant Rajesh Kunte was taken inside the search after taking the whole search. Kunte accused the police of bias. He said that Rahul Gandhi and his colleagues were allowed to go in search without being searched while he was an accused. At the same time, despite being a complainant, I was searched and then allowed to go inside the court.
Let us tell that on 7 July 2014 at a rally at Bhiwandi, Rahul Gandhi had said that the people of RSS had killed Mahatma Gandhi. Against this statement of Rahul, Rajiv Kunte, secretary of RSS’s Bhiwandi branch, had filed a defamation suit against him, claiming that this statement by Rahul has caused the image of the RSS to be tarnished and his reputation has been damaged.
Trial will begin now after the charges are settled
On the charges fixed on Rahul Gandhi, the trial will start against him. The court will decide whether the case will be tried as a summary trial or as a trial trial. Summary trial involves limited evidence related to the case, while during the summon trial, the scope of the evidence becomes wider. Rahul Gandhi’s counsel Narayan Aiyar has demanded the court not to summon but to run the summons trial.
